Dr. J Lee Sharp received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of California San Francisco, School of Dentistry. He received IV sedation training at the University of Southern California. Dr. Sharp obtained Implant training at the Zimmer Institute and the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Dental School Preceptorship in Implantology.

Dr. Sharp is committed to providing personalized dental care to all patients including the young, old, disabled and fearful. For those patients that experience anxiety from dentistry, he offers a range of solutions for each individual. He enjoys treating patients who have dental challenges and are unable to get their dentistry done in regular settings. Treating the handicap and special needs children/adults can be challenging, but Dr. Sharp finds it quite rewarding. His specialty services have helped many patients all throughout southern Oregon.

Dr. Sharp has been blessed with 4 boys and a new grandbaby. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, playing pool, flying, barefoot waterskiing, racquetball, sewing, hot rodding, and hang gliding.

Dr. Sharp is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Umpqua Dental Society and on the consulting staff at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Sharp volunteers regularly for the Northwest Medical Teams free Mobile Dental Van. He has served on the Oregon Board of Denture Technology, Trustee of the Oregon Dental Association, and as the President of the Umpqua Dental Society. After teaching the Dental Radiology and Assisting class for 5 years, he is currently on the Advisory Board for the UCC Dental Assisting Program. He received the Outstanding UCC Partner of The Year award in April 2014. Dr. Sharp has also received the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award in 2013 from the Oregon Trail Council.
